Jeep Speedometer Gears

If you change to a larger tire size from the factory size then you will alter your speedometer reading and vehicle mileage. Make the change to a different Speedometer Gear, using the chart above you can find your proper tire size and match it with your Axle Gear Ratio to find which Speedometer Gear you will need. They are color coded for easy recognition and are very easy to install at the rear of your transfer case tail housing.

Transfer Case Dana Spicer 20 (1962-79 Jeeps)

The Dana 20 is found in 1962-1979 Jeep vehicles. It is also found in IH Scout trucks. It's design was outstanding and remains one of the strongest and most refined of all the popular transfer cases. This transfer case is compact, light, durable, simple to build and capable. It features dual modes (2wd + 4wd) and dual ranges (Hi + Lo). The high range is direct drive (1:1) and the low range is 2.0:1.

Transfer Case Dana 300 (1980-86 Jeep CJ)

The Dana 300 is found in 1980-1986 Jeep vehicles. It is one of the most respected transfer cases and is regarded as the gold standard by casual Jeepers up through the enthusiasts. While only provided in 1/4 Ton rated Jeeps, it strength surpasses this duty. The Dana 300 contains the culmination of what Dana learned about transfer cases since building the 300's predecessors - the Dana 18 since 1941 and then the Dana 20 since 1962.

Quadra-Trac Parts ( 1973-1979 FSJ & CJ )

The Borg Warner QuadraTrac transfer case is found in 1973-1979 FSJ Jeeps. The QuadraTrac was the first transfer case supplied by Borg-Warner in a Jeep. It was the first chain-drive transfer case to enter mainstream truck use and it was the first to have an aluminum case. It was released in the 1973 Jeep FSJ Wagoneer.

New Process NP208 Transfer Case Parts ( 1980-91 J-Series & SJ Wagoneer)

The NP208 was provided in the J Series from 1980-1987 and big Cherokee Jeeps from 1980-1983.
